Opportunities to Help!
The RMBA is a 100% volunteer organization. We need you to help make this year's season a success. If you are tempted, even the least little bit, to volunteer, please
contact the RMBA
to discuss the particulars of these jobs.
Here is a list of activities that require the attention of chairpeople and/or general volunteers.
If parents don’t sign up to help with these jobs, we won’t be able to do everything. That would be a shame for our kids, so please review the list and get involved!
Fundraising
Our 3 major fundraisers will be Market Day sales, sales of Innisbrook Gift Wrap this fall and Popcorn Sales at home football games. Market Day and Innisbrook have the potential of bringing in a lot of money, especially if a large majority of families participate, so please consider making a purchase when these order forms come home.
Please visit our Fundraising page for details. And contact our Fundraising chair (details here ) to help out if you can. Thanks!
Performances and Football Games
Pit Crew - This entails arriving shortly before the football games and competitions to help set up the large instruments and whatever equipment is necessary for the show. Of course, there is the same process in reverse after the show. You don’t need to attend everything, if you can commit to a majority of the events, that would be great!
Refreshments (Home football games only) - We serve refreshments and drinks to our kids as well as the visiting team’s band during the 3rd quarter of the game. We need volunteers to provide the snacks and drinks (you can send items in with your child the morning of the game) as well as 2 people for each game to serve.
Supporting the Students
Awards Banquet - This is a super event for the whole family which takes place in February to recognize each student for the part they have played in the success of our Marching Band.
Championship Breakfast - This takes place on Sunday, 11/4, at Ridge and requires the donation of food, drinks and paper goods for the kids to enjoy before boarding the bus for their Championship competition.
Senior Activities - This requires the following: assembling a page showcasing the seniors for the Ridge Yearbook, arranging for pom-pom corsages for the mother of each senior and a carnation boutonniere for each student on Senior Recognition Day and arranging for gifts to be presented to the seniors and band directors at the Awards Banquet. This would be perfect for 1 or 2 underclassmen parents to do together. The Board will definitely participate in all gift ideas!
Thanks! for your help.
